| As a lister, you are not alone in trying to secure the buyer for your listing. This is the advantage of being part of the Multiple Listing System as well as the co-operation of other sales associates within your own office. You can help get everyone into ACTION by providing the right tools and by keeping your office informed about your listing.
Checklist For Your Office:
- Talk about your listing at your office meeting.
- Personally talk with other sales associates who you feel would have a potential buyer for your listing.
- Have a complete listing or Profile Sheet at or near your office phone (usually at the front desk)
- Compile a Company Comparable Property List with other listings in your office that share similarities such as: location, style, price range. Every time one of these similar properties are advertised, it is also an advertisement for your listing. Cross Promote.
- Keep your office sales associates informed about the activity on the property and any changes such as Price Reduction or improvements done to the property since your office tour.
- Keep your listing visible and in the minds of other sales associates in your office. One example might include: A photo sheet of your listing which includes interior photos or out of season photos of the property.
- Talk to other listers who have properties similar to your listing. If the properties are similar then it will attract similar potential buyers.
- Send a personal message via computer to ALL Realtors who have similar listings or prospects for your listing.
- Send a picture postcard of the listing to other sales associates with a message telling them that you've just listed this "gorgeous" property.
